Project Life - My new stampin' up! 'have to try'

One thing that I've become very interested in lately is scrap booking. I bought a whole bunch of stampin' up! supplies to create my own beautiful, elaborate scrap books - than life happened. 10 hours days make scrap booking a far reaching goal. One Christmas gift to myself was the Project Life kit - the Hello Baby collection. I bought everything before I knew that I was having a little boy (better buy more coordination boy cards, right?) so I kept it general. I love how open ended project life is. Here is the video that really inspired me. Project Life

I also can't wait to show you some one of a kind gift tags & cards that Ill potograph once I complete them. Here is the video that was linked by Nina. We have arrived

Hello, Thanks for reading. Husband & I have arrived safe and sound in Phoenix with a little surprise- we discovered on day that we were supposed to move that I am expecting! We discovered it in the emergency room as I had a serious bout of nausea that left me dehydrated yet it was a happy night! We'd already given our last day notice on the apartment so we set up at my parents for the night- unconditional love was very nice to get us through a stressful night. Now that I'm set up at my parents house while we search for our forever home, I am determined to get some videos up and put some new cards on the etsy shop. I haven't been active at all in stampin' up due to my nausea, but I feel like I've turned the corner. In a little over a week and a half, we'll find out if our jelly bean is a boy or a girl! I am setting up for my new video now so check in soon to see it edited into this post

New Card idea - Sprinkles of life

Hello,
I am having some stampin' up! time today and found this video across the internet. The card looks so bright and beautiful! This is something that I'm considering for my niece's birthday. It looks like the perfect one. I don't have the watermelon lace however so I'm going to try with mint macaroon and see how it looks.  This is my inspiration from stampintx.com  I'll be posting my own version ASAP!

Last chance to buy these products

Tonight is my 'Sunday' that was a pleasant day at Balboa Park touring the Model Railroad museum and the Japanese friendship garden. It was so lovely!  I was inspired to come home and create.  I tried something new - a treat card. I am so unhappy that these are retiring.  I'm wondering if there are more of these that I can stock up on!  Here is what I created tonight

These were created with the You Plus Me stack. I love this paper!  I wonder if its sold out or if I can stock up on some more...   This is the bundle:

You Plus Me Clear Bundle 138880

Price$21.95

I am so happy with these mini 3 x 3 cards. I love to stamp a little bit, draw with an aqua painter and cut perfect diecuts with the framelets. Cute & fast, my favorite gift to send out.

Butterfly Basics Clear Bundle

139323 Price$51.75

Chalk Talk is retiring sadly, but thankfully Lost Lagoon, Hello Honey and Blackberry Bliss are staying around!

If you'd like to see how to create these, come by one of my stampin' up classes. Or if you'd like to create, you can shop 24/7 on my online store

Card swap

Watercolor Wash

This is a quick card that can be made simply and quickly.I was experimenting with the direct marker to stamp technique and the aqua painter. I prefer the soft watercolor wash that you achieve with the aqua painter.

Some use a marker - like I did above- in a wash technique. I didn't like the streaky look of the marker technique.  With a few more minutes and supplies, you can create a stepped up card like this one

I achieved this superior wash and real watercolor look by using water color paper, blackberry bliss ink (directly from the ink pad) and an aqua painter. I added a candy dot to the bitty butterfly for the 3D look. This is a 3 x 3 mini card that is so appealing to me right now! These are what I am giving to my attendees as a thank you for attendance,

Would you like to learn this super easy look? Come to a card class with me on the 18th of this month

Stampin'Up! Celebrate Today Shaker Card

I absolutely love this shaker card. The movement that shaker cards give are something unique - maybe not just unique to SU! but I've never been moved like this with Hallmark. What do you think?

Marker to Stamp technique

New technique today, stampers!  I've been playing around with the retirning list. I sure will miss Strawberry Slush & Coastal Cabana. I was working with watercolor wash on watercolor paper when I started directly coloring on the stamp for a darker color. It looks great and is super quick.  Stampin' Up! has a video all about it.

If buying the whole stampin' write marker set is cost prohibitive for you, I like the in colors. You can buy all of the 5 colors and its much more affordable. Paired with the ink pad & paper kit, its a great way to get into stamping without spending your whole paycheck.

Project Class: Berry Basket

I want to try something new! I love seeing everything that Stampin' Up has to offer and sharing it with you. I don't want to share with you things that don't interest you. One way that I share things that are cool is with a project class.  Like with the Chalk Talk project earlier this year, I will show you how to create with a specific project that every one has bought in preparation for the class.  One super cute new product from stampin' up! is the Berry Basket dies here

I can imagine so many different ways to use this... what do you want to put in this cute little basket?  Contact me for a Berry Basket Product class date :)

Technique: Sponge Daubers

This is a little fun technique that I love! For those of you who joined me on our Sale - a- bration party, we used this technique to add Blackberry Bliss ink from a refill to the Irresistible Yours designer series paper. As we go into the new catalog in June, there will continue to be opportunities to get a unique look to your stamped project with sponge daubers. I'll be holding technique classes through out May - text me if you missed your invite - and these little champs will be making a big hit there. Keep your eyes peeled for some new cards and project recipes on my blog. Thanks for coming by!

Scallop Tag Punch and Petite Petals Card How To Card Recipe

Hello!  I have some pictures to share fro the card party last night.

Last night I showcased the scallop tag topper punch and petite petals. One of my friends created a very unique card with stencils. I was showing this card:

Instead of using the negative image of the heart border punch, she used it as a stencil to create a border with sponge daubing. Very unique - and exactly why I love having card parties. Every person sees something different when presented with a project.

Today, I will share with you how to create this card

Stamp Set:
For Peeps Sake - Occasions Catalog
Petite Petals

Accessories:
In color pack (SAB)
Scallop Tag Topper Punch
Your favorite twine & ribbon I used Blackberry bliss and crochet lace trim
Your favorite embossing folder, these two are retired
Colors:
 Blackberry Bliss (Paper & Ink)
Pistachio Pudding (Ink)

This card is deceptively simple to make. You can use a scrap paper for the sentiment. Cut the whisper white into a strip 2 inches wide and punch the end with the punch. Feed your ribbon through the opening and fold. I pinch the ribbon with two fingers while I tie a loose knot around the ribbon with the twine. Simple and pretty.
Emboss your colored paper with your favorite textured impressions folder - I used two retired edges, but the current catalog has many to choose from. Stamp 'Bloom' in Blackberry Bliss from the For Peeps Sake stamp set.   On a piece of scrap paper, stamp six flowers from the petite petals stamp set and punch with the coordinating punch. Punch out two green flower shapes with the punch from pistachio pudding card stock.  Snip a few petals off of the green flowers for 'leaves' and adhere to the underside of the flowers with glue dots.

Layer another flower shape atop of this flower with glue dots and place evenly along the tag. Place your tag slightly off center and adhere with 3d stampin up! dimensionals.

Using this one punch, you can create vastly different cards. In these cards, I created different looks by changing the accessories.

Perpetual Birthday Calender kit by Stampin' Up!

I'm a little under the weather right now...  I am staying home from work today. I'm chipping away at my project box, but I'm mostly taking care of me.  I have been super excited to use my stamps that I have before they retire on June 2nd. I go to Youtube for a lot of my inspiration. I found a great video of one of our kits... I so want this now!

The next three weeks are reserved for project classes... sign up now!

Hello!

I was able to get a sneak peek of the new 2015 catalog and it is amazing. It has inspired me to stamp like never before.  I would like to show you how to make cute projects with the current catalog while we still have it through June.  I will be having project classes on Monday at 6 - the 11th, 18th and 26th!  Four spots at each class, reserve the date ASAP. Cost is $20 a class.

The Monday May 11th Class:

One of the projects will be the Petite Petals & Scallop Tag Topper Punch Card - layering images and featuring them onto a tag

Masking Party

Here are a few pictures from the party where I demonstrated how to mask. This works best if you have the framelets from the matching stamp set. For the party, I used the flower fair framelets to cut several flower shapes on the sticky section of post it notes. You stamp a flower, then layer the post it note that matches the shape over the flower and stamp another flower over it, This allows you to layer different colored flowers onto a card very quickly and easily!

Card Recipe:Polka Dot Pieces

Hello! Thank you for joining me.
I want to remind you that Stampin' Up has free shipping through the 10th. If you want something, now is the perfect time to shop
Today I am bringing you a card recipe for a sweet & simple card that you can CASE- Create And Share Everything!   This card needs:

Polka - Dot Pieces p 139 $15.95
Chalk Talk p 11 $18.95
Ink: Strawberry Slush & Coastal Cabana
Paper: Pistachio Pudding, Crisp Cantaloupe & Coastal Cabana

I cut a piece of whisper white paper to fit in the center of the card and the pistachio pudding mat slightly larger. I stamped the smaller flower in strawberry slush in the near center, high. I then stamped 'thoughts of you bring smiles' in Coastal Cabana beneath the flower. I stamped two more flowers off the paper in Coastal Cabana.
On a piece of scrap whisper white, I stamped 'For you' from chalk talk and punched it with 1 3/8 circle punch. I made a banner (with another piece of scrap paper) out of coastal cabana.

What do you think?  Let me know!

Why become a stampin' up DEMO?

Hello!

Today I'm going to talk about why I became a stampin' up! demo. The first reason is 20% discount on stampin' up! products. I absolutely love buying stampin' up stuff and I don't like mailing in my paycheck to the company. By becoming a demo, I earn instant income from every sale that I make. Its really cool because this is the only money that I spend on stampin' up!

The second thing that I love about being a demo is stampin' start. It is a way of helping new demonstrators start out with stampin' up!  You earn a stamp set for meeting sales requirements & for recruiting new demonstrators within your first six months of being a demonstrator. This is what I earned when I first joined!

If you are interested in knowing more about being a demonstrator, let me know!

Perfect Pennants - Life doesn't have to be perfect

Hello, thank you for reading today.  I want to share with you one of the stamp sets that in my opinion, is very inspirational. The stamp sets that are featured are Perfect Pennants ( Annual Catalog 16) and Petite Petals ( Annual Catalog 125)

This stamp set (pictured below)

has great versatility. It is perfect for guy cards with the Star, Make a Wish and the two background stamps. The star can be used for a military appreciation card. However, I chose to make a very girly card.

Card Recipe

Stamp Sets
Perfect Pennants (AC p 16)
Petite Petals (AC p 125)

Paper:
All Abloom Paper stack (AC p 185)
Pool Party
Whisper White

Ink Pads:
Strawberry Slush
Pool Party
Coastal Cabana

Accessories:
Rhinestone Basic Jewels (AC p 209)
Petite Petals Punch (AC 219)

To create the card, cut a whisper white square. 3/4 of the way from the bottom, stamp 'Life doesn't have to be perfect..' sentiment.  Using a whisper white sheet, stamp three flowers with the Petite Petals in Strawberry Slush, Pool Party and Coastal Cabana. Punch these out with the coordinating Petite Petals Punch.  Adhere Rhinestone Basic Jewels to the center of each flower.  Cut a banner out of the All Abloom paper stack.
Assemble the card by adhering the sentiment sheet with snail. Adhere the All Abloom banner with snail to the right corner of the sentiment.  Place the petite petals in a cluster of three near the sentiment- I chose the left corner to balance the banner. You can make a coordinating envelope with a few more petite petals stamp and punching a few flowers from the All Abloom DSP stack.

The perfect pennants also has a coordinating product if you have a Big Shot! Banners Framelits (p 231) fit the sentiments perfectly. I only just now bought the framelits (after 5 months of having the set, I know, I'm a slacker :P ) Be sure to check back to see this set with the Banners Framelits!
