First impressions of the new catalog

My first impression of my new catalog & supplies that arrived yesterday is awe. This is my first shipment as a Stampin' Up! demo where I spent only $50 dollars to sign up with the new deal and I chose $55 dollars of free product.

Favorite page of the catalog pg 108 - If you have the catalog, check out page 108. I have used Summer Silhouettes for many cards and the fresh new InColors breath fresh life for me!

Best new product pg 179: I've been stamping away with the new in colors and summer silhouettes for about 2 hours last night. Today I am assembling the cards and I am so happy that I bought  Incolor cardstock & pad kit. It comes with the fresh new colors and the new in color ink pads- for $30! You can't beat the value.  They also are in season through 2016.

Technique Tuesday - Lining up the Pansy Punch

First edition peek of my new blog bit, 'technique Tuesday' where I share one of my favorite techniques!  One of the trickiest part of my new Flower Shop set - I know, I just bought it! - is trying to use the coordinating punch. It looks so easy, but one of the flowers has the tiniest dip in it. Line the dip in the punch up with your stamp set. Mark the side on the stamp set closest to you with a pen mark so you know how to orient the stamp on your clear block.

How to have perfect placement with the Stampin Up Piercing Mats

Hello!

I was working on a card yesterday and I realized that the embellishments had a very small space to go.  I needed to line them up very neatly.  I went and pulled out the stampin' up paper piercing pack - essentials- and marked off very even pencil marks on the card front. They lined up perfectly!  For example, in this card I only marked the bottom two flowers. You can see that when I tried lining up the third one by eye, its off by a slight bit.  You bought that stampin' up piercing pack and you have an embellishment perfecter, too :)

Blendabilities are amazing

Hello!

I am happy to announce that I have joined Stampin Up! as a demo. I love the fresh new look of the Blendabilities. My upline showed me how to color in a single image with three different shades. The finished product looks amazing. I love to color my cards for the hand made touch.

I can not wait for my first order to get here. I ordered the Coastal Cabana blendabilities. I love the rich color of Coastal Cabana. The new colors look very fresh - honey seemed darker than I thought honey would be, but not as mustard like as summer stairfruit. Lost Lagoon looks tantalizing.

I am offering all of my retired Stampin' Up gear for sale on my etsy shop!

I am also going to be preparing for an open house so stay tuned for new images and techniques.

New products are always fun!

I love when my Stampin' Up Box arrives.  It's a chance to try out new things!  In this order, I received Blushing Bride ink pad & paper. I've heard that its perfect for wedding and children's cards.  I also received my stampin' pierce mat - after accidentally poking holes in my stamping table.  Times like these make me a little sad that I'm not a demo - I want a new baby stamping set!
