June's Card Class!

I wanted to show the Thank you cards that I created for the guests of my Stampin' Up! party. This was created with the new Hello Honey Ribbon, Blackberry Bliss card stock and summer silhouettes stamp set with the new in ~ colors. Very easy to create and very cute!

I attended my upline June's card class last week and she showed me how to adhere the vellum paper. This paper is very sheer and your adhesive will show. The secret is to adhere on the silver parts!
Cards below designed by June Switzer!  Aren't they amazing?

Online Hostess Club - get that $150 party by only spending $25

Are you interested in building your Stampin’ Up! supplies a little at a time and still want to be able to also receive hostess benefits?  An Online Hostess Club might be what you are looking for. A hostess club is a group of people who make smaller and affordable purchases that add up to $150. One of the group is chosen to be the 'hostess' for that month and recieves the goodies that go along with it - the $25 of free product and the option to buy from the hostess only sets at the back of the book!

How it works:
You place a $25 dollar order by the 20th of each month through my demonstrator website. One of these six months, you will be the hostess and will recieve $25 of free product - including access to the exclusive hostess sets!  You do need to commit to 6 months to ensure that every one has a chance to become a hostess.

Too long, didn't read:

You sign up for a 6 month term and commit to:
 •A $25.00 order each month
•Placing your order by the  20th of each month
•Using the Hostess code for each month provided to you in an email sent out at the beginning of each month

Once 6 members have joined a random draw will determine your hostess month and you are guaranteed:
•a $150.00 Workshop order during your hostess month
•$25.00 minimum of Hostess Dollars to spend on the exclusive Hostess Stamp Sets, or any other current Stampin’ Up! product during your hostess month

If you would like to join, comment here or call me! We will start as soon as our 5 spaces are filled.

Join the Party with the hostess code 432WU7DM

Hello -

A hostess code is a way to help a hostess reach her sales with online orders. A hostess has a party that is closing Tuesday morning. If you were unable to come to the party and want to place your order - and help the hostess reach her $150 to gain access to the exclusive stamp sets - you can use the hostess code 432WU7DM

How it works:
Go to http://www.stampinup.com/ECWeb/default.aspx
Add whatever you like to your shopping cart. When you are ready, enter the hostess code in special offers section of the online order shopping bag

Additionally, since online customer orders can include Clearance Rack items and My Digital Studio print products, its a great way to get everything that you want and help out your friend to meet her sales goal!

This code is ONLY good through Tuesday morning- I will be helping the hostess enter all her customer orders in the morning and then we close the workshop so that every one can get thier goodies! Let me know if you have any questions.

Mom's first party!

Hello,

I am so excited this morning. I had the best wake up call - literally a call from my mother. She has her first Stampin' Up! party as a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator tomorrow night. I was so excited to hear her plans for her party. She created a card that she wants to share with her friends using Crisp Cantaloupe & the Chalk Talk stamp set - I can not wait to see this card.

My mother has been bringing little packets of cute - and unique- cards that she has created over the past months to show me. One of the things that I like most about Stampin' Up is that it allows us to share our creativity with our family and inspire them. I can not wait for the party tomorrow night and I will share with you the pictures :)

Holiday Home Cards

Hello! I hope that today finds you well. Today I am sharing two cards from my favorite new stamp set, holiday home. You can find this set on page 16 of the Holiday Catalog from Stampin' Up!
Holiday Home Bundle

This was my first polymer stamp set and I love how the clear stamps let me see exactly where I am stamping. Look at the trees in the first picture- I could line up the leaves for perfect placement. In these cards I took advantage of the Homemade Holiday Framelets bundled with Holiday Home for a 15% discount.  I simply cut out house shapes using the framelets and used Snail and Dimensionals to layer the homes onto the stamped focal point.

The first card is a quick & easy card. 1) I stamped the two trees in Memento black ink. 2) Using Pumpkin pie ink pad, I stamped onto the trees 3) I returned to the left most tree and 'stamped off' the leaves into a sweeping motion above the trees. I only re - inked the leaves stamp four times, creating a lighter leaf color for some of the leaves.
4) I cut Basic Black card stock with the Home Made Holiday framelets Dies ( $21. 95  135857)  and mounted them right to the stamped card stock. I used dimensionals for the second house.
5) I stamped 'happy halloween' in pumpkin pie from the Good Greetings set that you can ONLY get from a qualifying party.

Simple! What's your favorite halloween candy? I think I'll glue a piece inside this card!

Summer silhouettes card how to

Hello! I hope that this finds you well. Today I am going to show you how to make a card with one of my favorite stamp sets, Summer Silhouettes.

Card Recipe:
Stamp Set - Summer Silhouettes
Paper - Pool Party & Whisper White
Accessories - Pool Party 3/8 ruffled ribbon  1 3/8 Circle Punch
Ink Pads: Primrose Petals, Gumball Green, Calypso Coral & Pool Party

This is a very simple card to create and as we are using a 1 3/8 circle punch, it can cover any goofs that you make in stamping. To begin, cut your whisper white card stock slightly smaller than the card base.  Stamp the green leaves twice - once on the bottom of the whisper white and once at the top, slightly towards the middle.   Take the small five petal flower and stamp with primrose petals on the stalk part of the leaves.  Take the long stem and stamp once beside the leaves that you created. Stamp the four petal flower onto the stem.

Get a scrap of white paper that is large enough to punch with the circle punch. Stamp your Get Well sentiment in Calypso Coral. Using the five petal stamp, stamp in pool party around the sentiment. I placed one more flower for contrast in Primrose Petal.  Punch the image out centered on your sentiment. Adhere with stampin' dimensionals and tie a knot with your favorite ribbon. Easy peasy!

This is utilizing the retired in colors yet it is very easy to create this card with the current in colors. There are two current in colors to choose from. You would only need to substitute Primrose Petals & Gumball Green for another color. The two color combinations that come to mind are Strawberry Slush & Mossy Meadow or Hello Honey and Mossy Meadow. I think that I will go create that right now!

Creating with thinlits dies

I watched a video before I created with the thinlits dies for the first time.

It was very reassuring to know what to expect. These little thinlit dies have such a wide variety of dies inside to use for all sorts of projects not -just - thinlit dies. Thankfully, the magnetic platform is no longer on back order. I am very excited to use it for  every project that uses a thinlit.

The thinlits dies that I purchased are Snowflake Cards thinlits dies. I liked the shape and the holiday theme! I know that I will be purchasing the Labels one as well because it goes with the Layered Labels framelets that I have. Here is a video for creating the Snowflake Thinlits card (that I will be creating with tonight)

I am off to create some cards and take some pictures to share with you the wonders of the Snowflake thinlits dies!
