Persistence is paying off!

Hello!

I am adamant about two listings a day in the etsy shop and I think that its paying off. Yet the real benefit of it is that its making me have a deadline to craft - and procrastination is a big flaw of mine. Knowing that I need to get two cards done helps me sit at my table and start stamping - and then a lot gets done! Most of the time, I start working on a few mini projects before I actually get the two cards done.

Here are two of this weeks projects - the first one is my Mother's Day card for my mom and the second is a card thats on Etsy :)

Not being organized is a killer

While basking in my 'I'm organized! Look at me!' stage, I decide to make a pack of Easy Events cards. I love easy events. It has the cupcake, the tree and the wedding birds; which are by far my favorite. I go to my stamp drawer and low and behold, no stamp set. I find the empty box which only raises questions. Is the cupcake adhered to a clear block somewhere? Quick, remember how many clear blocks you own. Yeah. This is me tossing my stampin' up station.

I have now resigned myself to a different stamp set. I'm waffling between Lovely as a Tree, Hearts a Flutter and Bordering on Romance. I was planning on sending my mom a card set, so I suppose those three work well for all occasions. I also have Perfect Punches out for that lovely little addition to every card.  I'm going to get to work! Stay tuned for cards to appear.

I do have a question to leave you with - what cards do I need more of in my shop? Comment and let me know, please!

I am eagerly spending my one day off by myself to be creative. Now some of my creative energy was sapped cleaning up my craft room.  'My' craft room now houses the computer that my husband and I use, so its getting a little cramped! I need to sell / get rid of some things that I don't use and organize my space better.  I keep telling myself more space = more new stuff from the new catalog!

Here's a flash of my Etsy shop - two new listings a day is my goal!

Happy Mother's Day, Moms!

Happy Mother's Day to all of you Moms out there! There's not enough that can be said for the countless hours of unconditional love that Moms provide.

I'm really missing my Moms right now - one of them is out of town due to a death in the family and one lives in another state. I am dealing with my feelings by making a 'Thank you' gift box of cards. I can't wait to get these photographed to share here (and to remember what I've sent so the next gift box will be refreshing!)

I've been a little quiet on here because I've tackled another creative endeavor. I am trying to get my Stampin' Up cards onto my Etsy shop. Its just two cards a day so far, but I have thoughts of card kits and such! I am preparing 'elements' such as butterfly embossits and punched shapes that I'll likely offer for CHEAP to help new card makers or mixed media artists create.

Today I listed two of my favorite cards - my Easy Events Happy Birthday and my Hearts a Flutter card. These were two of the cards I created myself without CASEing, so I'm very proud. I'm offering them as custom cards so customers can choose different colors or sentiments.

Today I offered my first time ever morning card party. We started at 11 A.M. and wrapped around 12:30.  It was a blast! We weren't worried about the hour getting late - with the night time parties, we always had to wrap by 8 because we had to be at work at 0430. This time we socialized and took our time!

Here are the two cards that we made. These were both easily converted to Mother's Day cards - Sam converted the More Amore Butterflies into a Mother's Day card with the sentiment from Delightful Dozen. I originally had people who wanted Mother's Day cards, but I adapted my samples.

The 'Thanks so much' is being packaged to be sent to my wonderful friend and my last hostess!

I am so excited with the next card class. As this is my last month to showcase the retiring products, I'm going to go all out!  The card offerings will be a Father's Day Card (featuring Lovely as a Tree), a masculine happy birthday card (featuring the woodgrain folder), a masculine thankyou card, a triple stamped card and a welcome baby card featuring print poetry! The card class is Sunday, April 12th at 6 P.M.
